Graduation and What's Next

This past Thursday, September 9th 2021, I graduated LAMDA's MA in Classical Acting for the Professional Stage. For friends and family unable to make it, here's a video capturing both the moment I received my certificate as well as the reading I gave to close out the ceremony.

In August, we presented our thesis projects; mine entitled 'Discovery in Doing: What Drama School Can't Teach You.' For this I had the privilege of interviewing: Anna Calder-Marshall, Brendan O'Hea, Dames Janet Suzman and Harriet Walter, Polly Findlay, Sir Nicholas Hytner, Tom Bateman, Anna Chancellor, Sarah Frankcom, Rebecca Frecknall, Matthew Lenton, Declan Donnellan, Jim Broadbent, Jonathan Broadbent, Rory Kinnear, Toby Stephens, Shubham Saraf, Noma Dumezweni, and Emma Rice in roughly that order. More to come on this...!

My final weeks at LAMDA were spent working on our final production of Cymbeline, directed by Anna Marsland. I played Iachimo, 2nd Captain, and the ever-crucial devised role of Ricky, the reporter.

Now, I'm looking for an agent, submitting self-tapes for projects in London and back home, and remaining hopeful for what's ahead. Though it feels like the rollercoaster is over, I know it is only beginning. I'm pacing myself for the future and reminding myself that this business is a marathon, not a race.
